Stay safely mobile -
despite foot injury

More mobility for a better quality of life.
Manager with ORTHOSCOOT at the desk
You have injured your foot or ankle and are not allowed to put weight on it for a while?

It is not easy to really "immobilize" an acutely injured foot and at the same time remain mobile. Everyday things become a challenge. The constant walking with crutches requires strength and skill. Incorrect positioning or incorrect weight bearing can often lead to further visits to the doctor, post-operative care or prolonged incapacity to work.

  • Safe locomotion without the help of others to maintain your ability to get around
  • Safely guided relief and gentle positioning of the foot
  • Active use mobilizes
  • Relief for back muscles, shoulders and wrists
  • Freedom of movement of the hands
  • TÜV-tested according to DIN ISO 11199-2 and EN-12182
  • Sustainable, safe and chic

Marco H.
32 years old
After my foot surgery, I was very quickly mobile again in the house and my injured foot safely relieved. Thanks to the transport compartment, I was also able to use it to carry small items so that I could look after myself, which would otherwise not be possible as I can't carry anything. The ORTHOSCOOT® was a lifesaver for my everyday life!

I was independently mobile again after the surgery and could work in my practice as if nothing had happened. I felt very safe on the ORTHOSCOOT®. If I had moved around with crutches during convalescence, I would have had to close my practice.

"The ORTHOSCOOT® is an innovative medical device that allows patients to participate significantly more actively in diseases and after operations in the area of the foot and ankle. The effective relief ensures the preservation of mobility. Due to the reduced restrictions in everyday life and increased independence compared to mobilization on crutches or in a wheelchair, the ORTHOSCOOT® has a not to be underestimated effect on the psychological condition in addition to the positive influence on the physical healing process."

Dr. Charlotte Hase

Charlotte Hase, MD

Ortenau Hospital, Ettenheim

"This ORTHOSCOOT is an important aid for ensuring the success of the operation, if within the framework of post-operative treatment after complex foot operations, loading of the operated foot is initially not permitted at all, and later partially permitted. Due to overload-related, degenerative or post-traumatic pain in the shoulders, elbows or hands, the use of crutches or a wheelchair is not possible for some patients. This is especially true for patients with rheumatoid polyarthritis".

"By using theORTHOSCOOT , the limitations of the discharge phase postoperatively are much less. Younger and active patients in particular are ORTHOSCOOT much more mobile with the significantly reduced strain on the operated area and can still consistently maintain the partial load on the operated area. In the meantime, we have also started to make it ORTHOSCOOT accessible to older patients, who also benefit significantly and are more mobile after a shorter familiarization period.

"A high level of patient satisfaction is just as much a part of a successful treatment as the rapid restoration of a patient's independence after his therapy or operation. With the help of the ergonomically shaped positioning shell for the knee, the ORTHOSCOOT® enables patients to move safely while at the same time relieving the diseased extremity. This leaves the patient's hands free for other activities. Not least for patients with shoulder and foot diseases, the ORTHOSCOOT® offers a great progress by relieving the shoulders. The rapid regaining of mobility helps to shorten periods of incapacity to work".

Dr. Markus Walther

Prof. Dr. med. Markus Walther

"It ORTHOSCOOT is a suitable aid for the mobilisation of patients after operations and injuries to the foot and ankle. Active people in particular benefit from the better mobility options compared to a wheelchair. We appreciate it ORTHOSCOOTbecause it promotes the independence and mobility of patients and can help them to survive longer periods of relief.

The circular economy

The global economy is now only 7.2% circular, due to an increase in material extraction and use. The share of the circular economy has decreased from 9.1% in 2018 to 8.6% in 2020 to now 7.2% in 2023. This large difference between theory and practice means that more than 90% of materials are either lost or cannot be reused. (Source: The Circularity Gap Report 2023)

The healthcare industry is one of the most resource-intensive sectors in the world and there are numerous opportunities to reduce our environmental footprint. The circular economy in particular has an enormous impact here and can help minimize the ecological footprint in Germany.

The reprocessing and reuse of medical equipment, instruments and aids can extend the service life of the products many times over. Sustainable development and operation already during the development of such products is of great importance here and can help to drastically reduce waste production.

ORTHOSCOOT focuses on the rental and subsequent reprocessing of orthopedic scooters from the very beginning. Together with local medical supply stores and service providers, we map the circular economy, solved by supply chains, from and for Germany.
